I read the two books the same night. I couldn't wait to read the second book after I finished the first. I was happy to find again Rosie, Casey, Birdie and Rosie's grandmother. The addition of Layla, Rosie's cousin, was a bonus. Although I wanted to hit her it was ultimately fun to read about her. I'm waiting impatiently for the third installment. I hope it doesn't take long.The mystery is one of the best I have read, if not the best. I love that everything makes sense, that she doesn't need anything else than her brains to find the solution. No psychic abilities, no superpowers, just logic and a little dare. Rosie is adorable and all the characters are just perfect. Funny, lovable and sensible. This time also I guessed the killer and the way it had worked - although not the reason - but it really doesn't matter. It's so well written that you just want to continue and see how the story unfolds.

I am now reading a mystery by this author's mother. Will it cause a family squabble if I give one a better review than the other? Such are the dilemmas of an unpaid reviewer.
This book is cut pretty much from the same mold as many another 'cute' cozy. There is the great boyfriend, the misunderstanding and then .......There is a death, a police misunderstanding of the role of the heroin and then.......There are the many things that, like Red Skelton's 'mean widdle kid', the heroine knows she oughtn't to do, but she does them and then ...........In essence she is the typical 'cute' heroine whose impulses rule her behavior regardless of authority, common sense or the law. I suppose ones' response, apart from a reaction to the particulars of writing style and story, will be governed by how recently one has read the last one cut from the same mold. If the writer is a relative newcomer to the game, the work shows promise of better to come; on its own, however, I would guess the reader accustomed to the class of the field will find this one lacking.
I like this character, cute story.
From the very clever title to the end it was as much fun to read as Ms. Selfman's other offerings. She keeps me guessing who dunnit to the very end. Write on please.
Both books written by Leigh Selfman and enjoyable and pleasureable stories...other then more "proof reading" these books are easy reads. If Ms. Selfman has written sequels I would like to read them. I recommend her books.
I like to read these types of books. They are funny, short and enough mystery to just wet my whistle. I would recommend this book to anyone who just loves to read.
A pretty good follow on from the first in the series. Somewhat predictable but a light entertaining read nevertheless. Shall probably continue with further books in the series.
This is one of those great little mysteries you can't put down and can read in several hours.
Rosie becomes innocently involved in a death, when she is helping out a friend, on her
Crisis Hotline. The police rule it a suicide, but one fact comes out and Rosie thinks it could be murder.
She has to know the truth! Risk taker that she is, she gives the reader,from time to time, a good bit of
anxiety. as she seeks out the truth? Each chapter gives us facts, but I could not solve this mystery, I had to wait
until the absolute end. Clever writing!
If you enjoy well written Cozy mysteries, that test your detective skills, I think you will enjoy this one.
If you haven't read the first in this series "Nothing Bundt Murder" it is also excellent.
